Is it true ‘Crisco’ shortening could be best skin moisturizer for dry skin?

I have very dry skin.Tried many differn skin moisturizer and cream.I have heard that ‘Crisco’shortening could be best and effective skin moisturizer.Is it true?Has someone tried it?

Having worked in nursing homes for many years , I can tell you the answer is yes. I’ve been around Doctors and nurses for a long time. In fact my wife is a nurse. They always told us we could use crisco on those old peoples skin. It seems to work.
