I’m not that particular about dishwashing liquid, but I like to try new things and my curiosity is what led me to try Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay Pomegranate and Splash. This product not only cleans dishes, it also includes added ingredients to soften the hands. The main purpose of any dishwashing liquid is to clean dishes, but some individuals complain that dishwashing liquid damages the hands, so it makes sense that manufacturers would eventually try to improve your skin while also getting dishes clean.
I’m not terribly concerned about having soft hands, but the manufacturer’s claim that Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay Pomegranate and Splash softens hands does seem to be true. This product has a texture that is similar to lotion and it does leave skin feeling a little softer. This is certainly a plus for some, but what really matters is the ability to clean dishes and this dish liquid is very good in this regard. It cuts grease with ease- a quality that ranks as one of the few things I demand in a dishwashing liquid. It isn’t abrasive, so it isn’t the best at scrubbing tough pots and pans, but it does a very good job with ordinary, general cleanup of plates, glassware, and flatware.
If I had to criticize one thing with Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay Pomegranate and Splash, it would be the fact that the liquid takes a little more effort to rinse clean. The sticky texture makes it cling to dishes more than other dishwashing liquids. It takes extra effort- and often hotter than usual water- to rinse this product off dishes. Failure to rinse thoroughly could result in the taste of soapy pomegranate getting added to your favorite food and drinks.
Dishwashing liquids are not all the same, and this is evident when you use Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay Pomegranate and Splash. It gets dishes clean and it does soften hands with repeated use. These qualities, combined with the Dawn name, make this a product worth trying.

I didn’t get past use number one. I’ve always been a glove wearer when I do the dishes, because it dries my hands out. But on a whim I picked this stuff up in my grocery.
My hands were drier and flakier and scalier than they’ve ever been after using this stuff. my cuticles cracked and bled.
whatever moisturizer they put in it also makes it so it doesn’t cut grease on the dishes as well. so I have to use more and waste money.
but the upside — the pomegranate scent smells better than most of the bubble baths I own!!!
